OK here's the thing. I am supposed to be going to Dublin on Monday, but its now Friday, I was away from Sunday through Wednesday and Tuesday through Thursday the week before. I have a Freinge show to write and I'm tired. Fortunately I only paid buttons to go to Dublin, so I'm going to give it a miss and go to Leipzig next Tuesday 26th.
Please send me some challenges to take up whilst in Deutchland.
Next trips Poznan and Dusseldorf

Hi,
ReplyDeleteChallenges for Leipzig:
Find a bar that serves Gose beer (made from corriander and salt) and challenge someone to a race to drink a pint of it
Convince a group of Germans you are a British TV executive filming a documentary about the world-famous German sense of humour
Try and reserve a seat in a bar or restaurant by putting your towel on it
Cheers,
Craig
Pay your respects to J.S.Bach by locating his grave... and dancing on it.
ReplyDeleteAnother twist on the J.S.BACH theme could be find a busy area (possibily the university) then get a portable stero with a recording of Bach, then start pretending to act like a conductor of an orchestra, preferabbly with others involved.
ReplyDeleteAlso just noticed the Leipzig is twinned with Birmingham, could be quite funny to try and get a local to impersonate a "Brummie" accent.
not sure if you've noticed, by ZZ Top are playing in leipzig on the 27th at Parkbuhne (Clara Zetkin Park. Clearly, if you don't pack a large fake beard that's got to be bigger than a santa claus affair and a white cowboy hat then you're missing a trick.
ReplyDeleteSo, throughout the town there are going to be texas-blues-rockers. i.e. gulliable fuckers who speak english.
anyone got a scots connection?
